• Mythology Gag: Angie knows that her parents are going to get angry with her for having the Lickitung under their care evolve. This lampshades the fact that Pokémon would never evolve while inside a Day Care.
• Shipper on Deck: Angie's parents think that Ash is the right boy for their daughter.
• Sneeze Cut: Ash gets a shiver when Angie's parents talk about the two of them getting hitched.
