The final round of the Wallace Cup is underway! It's May vs Zoe and Dawn vs Kyle as both sides battle for the Wallace Cup Ribbon.
- The Cameo: As with the beginning of the competition, Max, May's parents (and their Slaking), Drew, Solidad, Harley, Kenny, and Dawn's mother are all seen watching the final round between May and Dawn.
- Call-Back: Ash gets excited when he sees that May's Beautifly has learned Aerial Ace, no doubt referring to when he taught his Swellow (and later his Staravia) the exact same move.
- Graceful Loser: Neither Zoe nor May are upset about their respective defeats to May and Dawn.
- Put on a Bus: With the Wallace Cup's conclusion, May returns to Johto, and isn't seen again until Journeys.
- She's Back: Dawn's self-confidence have been restored, after she defeated May and got her second ribbon.
- Took a Level in Badass: May's Beautifly is shown to have learned both Morning Sun and Aerial Ace.
