Spooked.
Our heroes enter a clearing in a forest and suddenly find themselves in situations where their greatest desires are coming true. They are greatly enjoying themselves but realize that it's all too good to be true when things take a bizarre turn.This episode contains examples of the following tropes:
- Bizarro Episode: The Mismagius in this episode involves this by putting the cast in various of illusions where weird stuff happens.
- Blue with Shock: Ash, Pikachu and Dawn when they see Nurse Joy being attracted to Brock.
- The Cameo: Among the many badges in Ash's imaginary case, there are genuine ones from past gyms bunched together with fakes and/or unrevealed badges.
- One-Winged Angel: Mismagius merges with its illusory Rayquaza, coincidentally turning the latter into its Shiny Mega coloration. The heroes fight back by enlarging their respective Pokémon (Pikachu, Piplup and Croagunk).
- Pun-Based Title: Referencing "Alice in Wonderland" which fits perfectly being how this is mainly a Bizarro Episode.
- Twin Threesome Fantasy: Unsurprisingly, it was Brock's fantasy, and he relishes the moment as a massive harem of Jennys and Joys literally swarm upon him.
