Losing someone you love can be a heart-wrenching experience. With the Inaba serial killer vanquished, Yu and the others are left to pick up the broken pieces, and to try to find some truth and absolution amongst a bitter aftermath.

- Laser-Guided Karma: The Investigation Team argues about throwing Namatame into the TV World & leaving him to die, like he did to most of them & Nanako.
- Manly Tears: Yu, after losing Nanako for a brief time. Yosuke even lends him a shoulder to cry on.
- Not Quite the Right Thing: Yu questions Yosuke if he made the right call in letting Namatame live, as they have no proof that he wasn't the real killer beyond his Shadow appearing on a TV.
- Revenge Before Reason: Dojima heads off to Namatame's room after Nanako's death, with the implication he's going to kill him for what he did to Nanako. Whilst he gets stopped before he can reach the door, the Investigation Team actually get inside & begin arguing over whether they should throw Namatame into the TV World and leave him to die.
- Title-Only Opening: After 22 episodes of opening in the Velvet Room & the opening titles playing, this episode instead opens to a title card over a shot of the outside of Nanako's hospital room.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: In-Universe, the Investigation Team has this reaction when they realise that Teddie didn't go with them to Namatame's room & no-one's seen him since.
