- Apocalypse How: So far it appears to be on a city scale with London being blanketed by a poisonous fog. The severity is on the level of societal disruption that will lead to societal collapse and possibly even species extinction if it isn't stopped.
- Get Out!: After delivering Lily into the hands of Frankenstein and Jekyll, Dorian says this to all the women in his house. When they see his No-Sell of being stabbed in the chest by Justine, they quickly follow his command.
- Heal It With Fire: A red hot poker serves to cauterize and burn out the infection from the vampire bite Sir Malcolm sustains.
- Hollywood Darkness: The fog-covered London looks like this.
- Mass "Oh, Crap!": The various prostitues when Justine stabs Dorian in the chest to absolutely no effect.
- Neck Snap: After Lily's departure, Justine, refusing to go back to the streets and the life of prostitution she escaped, chooses to die. Dorian grants her request.
- The Night That Never Ends: Part of the end of days is that the sun will cease to shine and the night creatures will come out and take over. However this manifests as an extremely heavy fog at all hours making it seem dark as night or at least twilight.
- The Plague: The fog unleashed by Dracula and Vanessa's union has mixed with chlorine gas from the factories and has killed over 7000 people by the time Sir Malcolm, Ethan and Kaetenay arrive in London. Everyone else is either huddled in doors or has fled the city.
- The Reveal: Kaetenay reveals himself to be a werewolf, implying that he sired Ethan, which explains why he considers him his son.
- Selective Obliviousness: None of the main characters not directly involved in the Dracula plotnote realize that the thick layer of poisonous fog covering London is the beginning of the end times.
- Shout-Out: Renfield in a straitjacket in Bedlam House completes the likeness to his original Dracula counterpart.
