- Action Prologue: The episodes starts with an action sequence of Ari killing Kate.
- Both Sides Have a Point: Ziva wants to extract Ari and have him deported to Israel for his crimes. She says that he murdered an American, but as a Mossad agent, he has to answer to his country. The rest of the team says nuts to that in polite terms: Ari is hunting them down one by one simply to torment Gibbs and needs to be treated as an immediate threat.
- Apologetic Attacker: Ari apologises to Kate just after he kills her.
- The Bus Came Back: Gerald returns, only for Ari to take him hostage.
