The one with the future scope.

After looking into Dr. Wakeman’s "future scope", Tuck believes that Jenny is going to kill Brad.

"Future Shock" contains examples of:

  • Actually Pretty Funny: The reason why Jenny was seemingly laughing over Brad's body? Because, after the whole thing was explained, she thought it was hilarious.
  • Bait-and-Switch: Jenny thinks that the rotary lock on the vault's door counts as Nora's idea of high-tech security... only to then trip a laser wire and activates the vault's real and very lethal security system.
  • Chronoscope: Tuck looks into Dr. Wakeman's "future scope" and sees events in which Jenny appears to have turned evil and killed Brad.
  • Cutting the Knot: Jenny bypasses the lock on the underground vault door by punching through it.
  • Drive-In Theater: Brad goes to one with is dummy in the episode's climax.
  • Mistaken for Murderer: Tuck peeks into the future and sees what appears to be Jenny laughing maniacally with blood on her hands in front of Brad's head, severed from the rest of his body. It turns out that when Tuck tried to fight Jenny out of his paranoia, he ended up squirting ketchup on her hands, and in the commotion, Brad ended up landing in a hole with the rest of his body intact. The other body turned out to be Brad's dummy which he brought along to a couples-only drive-in theater as a "date." Jenny was only laughing at the ridiculousness of the situation.
  • Stating the Simple Solution: So where is Nora's top secret underground vault?
Nora: Down in the basement, naturally. (Beat as Jenny runs down to it) Silly girl.
  • Verbal Backspace: Nora lets slip of the Future Scope's existence, which instantly catches Jenny's attention. She attempts to cover herself by stating it doesn't exist, but that doesn't stop her from also letting slip of its location.

The one with Dr. Wakeman humiliating Jenny.

Dr. Wakeman is coming over to her daughter's school for a presentation, her greatest creation, so Jenny desperately tries to avoid humiliation by enticing a villain to destroy the school.

  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: "Now, where are those schematics of you without your armor on?" (Cuts to Jenny blacking out in shock)
    • This actually wraps into the the Aesop of the episode. Everyone's parents does something to embarrass their child, so while boundaries are important, the best one can do in those type of situations is to roll with the punches and move on.
Jenny: You mean, everybody has parents that embarrass them?
Brad: They're parents, Jenny. That's what they do.
  • Doom Magnet: Something Jenny takes notice of and is banking on after learning her mom is going to give a presentation at the school. In true ironic fashion, the one time Jenny wants a disaster to happen, it never does, so she ends up making a bigger fool of herself than usual perceiving everything to be a threat.
  • Go-Karting with Bowser: Jenny's rolodex apparently has the numbers of the various villains she clash with on the regularly. This includes Vexus.
  • Let's Duet: Jenny and Brad spontaneously start singing about what disasters Jenny could attract that would (hopefully) ruin Nora's presentation.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Jenny being a Doom Magnet leads to the cancellation of her science classes, which leads to Nora volunteering to give a presentation on Jenny at the school, causing the conflict of Jenny's shame.
