It's going to take more than a rock and a prayer to bring down this Goliath.
- The Cavalry: Majestic brings in several Pros to help the students fight Gigantomachia.
- Call-Back:
- Mr. Compress uses the last of his marbles containing debris, intercepting Chargebolt the same way he did to Midnight.
- Ashido/Pinky discovers the giant villain she and the other students are trying to put to sleep is the same one she misdirected years ago to save a couple of students.
- Cliffhanger: The episode ends with Shigaraki flinging a Quirk-eraser bullet at Eraser Head.
- Colossus Climb: After saving Pinky, Red Riot climbs his way up Machia's body to throw the sedative into his mouth.
- David Versus Goliath: The students (and later, several other Heroes) versus the behemoth known as Gigantomachia.
- Determinator
- Mt. Lady on the Hero side, determined to cling onto Machia and pry his mouth open.
- Machia and Shigaraki on the Villain side. Machia is like an unstoppable force that everyone is trying to keep down, while Shigaraki continues to fight despite everything the Heroes throw at him.
- Exact Words: The League wonders if they are slowing Machia down, as he was instructed to bring them all to Shigaraki. By that logic, he would be failing his order if he endangered them.
- Hope Spot:
- The students throw multiple jars of anesthetic at Machia's mouth, but he simply blows them away while Dabi sets the forest on fire.
- Red Riot later helps Pinky throw a jar into his mouth and everyone hopes to distract Machia enough for the anesthetic to take effect. Unfortunately, he starts to actually fight instead of running through his "obstacles".
- I Am Not Left-Handed: Gigantomachia has spent all of his time running and brushing off the "insects" that are the Heroes just to get to Shigaraki. He decides to finally make full use of his abilities to try and wipe them out so he can't be distracted anymore.
- I Have No Son!: Gran Torino remembers that his friend, All Might's mentor and Tenko/Tomura's grandmother, Nana Shimura, had to sever all ties to her family to protect them from All For One. He begins to question if they made the right choice, though it may not be the case after remembering her breaking down in grief, and now seeing the grandson become a sadistic Villain thanks to the very man she fell to.
- Impaled Palm: Shigaraki uses enough force to pierce through Ryukyu's large dragon hand with his own.
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Gran Torino is gored by a single punch through the midsection at the hand of Tomura Shigaraki.
- Male Gaze: As usual, Mt. Lady's rump gets a lot of attention from the camera. It's much more Fan Disservice this time around though, considering she's getting thrown around by Gigantomachia.
- Oh, Crap!: Ryukyu and Deku see Shigaraki possessing a "Deleter Bullet", the same one that robbed Togata/Lemillion of his Quirk by Overhaul.
- Theme Music Power-Up: After a long absence, You Say Run returns when Red Riot climbs up Machia and successfully gets the sedative into his mouth.
- Trauma Button: Gigantomachia's voice/face causes Pinky to freeze up before she can toss her jar of anesthetic into his mouth, as this is actually the second time she encountered this monster. Luckily, Red Riot steps in to help, using his jar as a decoy so he can toss in Pinky's on her behalf.
