Somewhere in the city, Gentle and La Brava ponder villains who have gone before them, as well as Gentle's unpopularity on the internet. Gentle focuses on punishing those who believe in an ungentlemanly manner. He is undeterred that characters like Stain and the League of Villains have eclipsed him in popularity, because he is confident that his next scheme will eclipse them.
Back at U.A., the class begins delegating roles to plan for their performance. The performance band is eventually comprised of Jiro on bass and vocals, Yaoyorozu on piano, Tokoyami on guitar, and surprisingly, Bakugo on drums, who agrees because he had previously overheard upperclassmen complaining about 1-A. Ashido puts together a dance team, while Kirishima, Aoyama, and a few others get to work on planning special effects.
Midoriya meets up with All Might for some training. He realizes that in order to efficiently use One for All, he doesn't have to apply it to his whole body all at once: rather, he can selectively apply it to some body parts.

- All Drummers Are Animals: Bakugo, the most violent and aggressive of the 1-A students, is naturally the band's drummer. He even agrees to participate so they can "murder everyone with music".
- Lead Bassist: Non-music example. Jiro is initially content with being the band's bassist, but she is promoted to vocalist as well when the class realizes she's got a great voice.
- Terrible Interviewees Montage: The boys who try out singing — Kirishima sings enka, Aoyama just sings falsetto, and Mineta just screams into the microphone.
