- Gonky Femme: Slips' sister is a deep-voiced, short haired, muscular jock with prominent facial hair.
- Hidden Depths: Ingrid and Euripides are vegetarians. The former’s case doubles as a Furry Reminder, since giraffes are herbivores. The latter of which is Irony, since sharks are carnivores.
- High-School Hustler: Principal Bushdog.Bushdog: So, I take it you're the new student.Ingrid: Yes! I'm so excited to be here!Bushdog: You'll get over that.
- I Got Bigger: Ingrid grows to a ridiculous height, to the point where she keeps knocking satellites out of orbit.
- Narcissist: Adam obsesses over a framed picture of himself.Adam: What? It's a good picture!
- Pun: The billboard for Marlin Perkins Wild High School reads "Welcome Fresh Meat" instead of "Welcome Freshmen". Ingrid laughs at this and notes how clever it is.Ingrid: Oh, very clever.
- Secret Diary: Ingrid's secret diary is sold in an auction and read out loud by Principal Pixiefrog.
- Status Quo Is God: Despite Ingrid proving her might in "Save the Drama for Your Llama", and moving up past being "The Weakest Member of the Pack", she is still considered the weakest member of the pack in this episode.
- Strong Family Resemblance: The older siblings of the pack strongly resemble their younger siblings.
- Your Size May Vary: This episode takes Ingrid's height inconsistencies and completely maximizes them to comical extremes. Here, Ingrid goes through a growth spurt and becomes so tall that she can no longer fit in the school. It's also implied that her head is in outer space when she knocks a few satellites out of orbit.
