Adam saves the life of David Coppertrout, a magical fish with the ability to grant wishes. To show his gratitude, David allows Adam to wish for anything he wants, but this is completely lost on him, since Adam doesn't believe in wishes.

  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Adam wishes he could go back to before the situation even started. David grants his wish, by sending him back to prehistoric times.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Adam cries as he reminisces about why he doesn't believe in wishes, telling the depressing tale of how when he was a little kid, he wished for a Captain Clowny toy for Christmas and never got one.
  • Human Cannonball: Jake did this into the underwater hallway, washing David ashore.
  • I Owe You My Life: When Adam saves David Coppertrout, he repays him with a "maaaaagic wish".
  • Jackass Genie: David Coppertrout turned out to be this, when Adam wished to go back to before this whole situation started, he got sent back to the prehistoric ages.
  • Just One Extra Ticket: Adam's friends, and later the faculty, and rest of the school, all compete with each other to try and get Adam's unused wish for themselves. So, everyone keeps haunting Adam with kind gestures, and gifts, pestering him to give his extra wish to one of them.

  • Literal Metaphor: In the credits, Jake kept trying to beach David Coppertrout, just so he could save him and get a wish. David, however revealed he was chained to the sea floor and said, "Sorry, I'm a bit tied up at the moment."
  • Make a Wish: Adam gets to do this, but he declines the offer, not believing in such a phenomenon as magic.
  • My Card: David has a card, labeling him a "Magic Fish".
  • Only Sane Man: Adam realizes he's this, when even Principal Pixiefrog, has started to go crazy with wish greed.
  • Prehistoria: Adam ends up here at the end of the episode.
  • Real After All: Turns out, David Coppertrout, actually was magic and he can grant wishes.
  • Younger Than They Look: Coach Gills mentioned being a high schooler in 1997, meaning that she's currently in her early twenties.
