MK begins to learn the 72 transformations, and tries to use the power when Pigsy's sign is stolen by Spider bots sent off by Spider Queen, who is desperately trying to find a way to fight back against Lady Bone Demon.
Tropes:
- Call-Back: Huntsman still has the bag of tea Sandy gave him in "To Catch A Leaf."
- Darkness Equals Death: How Huntsman and Strong Spider's deaths are portrayed; the lights in the tunnels flicker as Mayor appears behind them, one flicker shows him suddenly directly behind them in his hulked-out form, then the screen goes black and stays that way.
- Heel–Face Door-Slam: Despite still showing growing displeasure and uncertainty at following Lady Bone Demon’s orders, and still carrying the tea bag Sandy had given him, Huntsman is killed by Mayor before he can even begin a proper redemption arc.
- Heroic Sacrifice: While she pridefully refuses MK's offer to join in an Enemy Mine against the Lady Bone Demon. The Spider Queen does confront the demon herself, forcing MK to leave her behind while she stalls the Lady Bone Demon on her own.
- Involuntary Shapeshifting: MK doesn't have much control over the 72 transformations yet, leading to his hands turning into puppies against his will - or a mop. He manages to get the hang of it by the end of the episode, however.
- Nothing Is Scarier: The audience never knows how the three spider demons died. But if Syntax's screams are any indication, it wasn't pleasant.
- Pet the Dog: After the two share a moment of connection over how Lady Bone Demon played them both, Spider Queen tells MK to escape, while she attempts to faces off against Lady Bone Demon.
- Right for the Wrong Reasons: When MK sees Spider Queen and her henchmen sealing the exits of their lair and Syntax being ordered to gather materials, he correctly realizes Spider Queen is trying to rebuild the mech he destroyed. However, he thinks she's going to use it to take over the city again, when in reality she's hoping to use it to fight Lady Bone Demon.
- Scream Discretion Shot: Syntax's death is shown this way, with the camera cutting away from him and the Mayor before we can see what happens. Strong Spider and Huntsman are both shown reacting to the scream before being taken out themselves.
- Sympathy for the Devil: Even after she's attempted to kill him multiple times. MK still feels for Spider Queen when he sees that like him, she's terrified of Lady Bone Demon and was used by her.
- Whole Costume Reference: If you exchange the noodles logo for a gold chain, Pigsy's pyjamas are identical to Grunkle Stan's undergarments, right down to the stripes on his shorts.
