Driven to Suicide: Subverted. The case from ER is presented as an attempted suicide by car. Actually, she had a thing with her brain.
Littlest Cancer Patient: Quinn. He's a cute kid with big chocolate eyes and unfortunately... big tumour in his brain. He hasn't been ill long enough to become precocious or anything. Poor little guy.
Hospital Gurney Scene: The very first scene has an in-take to ER, but it's downplayed. The entrance was fairly non-action.
Flash Back: Dr. Ty Wilson has flashbacks when he reminisces about his sibling's brain surgery when he was little.
Flat Line: Quinn dies during the surgery, signified by the beeeeeeep sound and the flat line.
