After Emery sends an invitation to a party to Chris, Ian, Vince, and Zach, they go to her castle to tell her they can't make it. But when she gets kidnapped by a giant rat, it's up to them to rescue her.
Tropes:
- Actor Allusion: Ian says that he and Chris can't go to Emery's party because they've got tickets to a Grittys concert. The real life Ian Holmquist plays the trumpet in the band.
- Damsel in Distress: Emery, who gets captured by Ratzer in this episode.
- Homage: To the Super Mario Bros. games.
- Let's Split Up, Gang!: Chris, Ian, Vince, and Zach each jump into separate paintings to try and find Emery.
- Oh, My Gods!: Zach says "Oh my Goshua!" after seeing the size of Ratzer.
- Portal Picture: Four paintings in Emery's home are portals to confined two-dimensional worlds. According to Monty, they were gifts from an old friend of hers.
- Rodents of Unusual Size: Ratzer is roughly twice the size of an average minifigure.
- Shout-Out:
- Ratzer is modeled after Mouser in terms of design and how he's fought. As an added bonus, his stage is modeled after the Super Mario All-Stars version of Mouser's stage.
- The magic paintings containing their own environments are a nod to Super Mario 64.
- Tempting Fate: Just after mentioning that her home had a rat infestation and an exterminator got rid of them all, Emery is grabbed by Ratzer.
- Voiceover Letter: Parodied. Emery sends a letter to Chris and Ian's house saying that she's having a party and Chris reads it out loud in her voice, which Vince compliments him for.
