Finster has discovered the location of the lost Ancient Zords! In order to bring them to life for their own evil purposes, Rita & Zedd will need some unwitting assistance from the Power Rangers. First, while the Tengas distract the teens from a relaxing day at the beach, Rita's enthralled pawn Katherine steals the Pink Ranger's Power Coin! With it, she'll be able to sneak aboard the Falconzord and ambush the White Ranger when Ninjor needs his help most, facing a giant Goldar! Will our heroes fall for this plot, and can Kimberly survive for long with her Coin in the hands of evil?

- Batman Gambit: While fighting Tommy and Ninjor, Goldar grew to giant size, knowing Tommy would summon the Falconzord, giving Katherine the opening to steal it.
- Chekhov's Gag: Katherine remarks she's not very fond of the water. It seems like a joke over how she turns into a cat, but "A Different Shade of Pink, Part III" reveals she suffered an accident during a dive competition that put her in the hospital and scared her off the sport.
- Cosmic Keystone: Due to the Falconzord being stolen, the Rangers are unable to use the Ninja Zords.
- Dragon with an Agenda: Katherine helps Rita to steal Kimberly's power coin not only because of the spell she put on her but also to have Tommy for herself.
- Dumbass Has a Point: Rito suggests Rita and Zedd to sent Tengas as a distraction to enable Kat to steal Kimberly's power coin.
- Green-Eyed Monster: Katherine has a crush on Tommy and is very jealous of Kimberly, and when she steals the latter's power coin, she also steals a photo of Kimberly holding hands with Tommy and Katherine says:Katherine: He won't be yours for long Kimberly!
- Forgot Flanders Could Do That: After suffering Villain Decay for some time, Goldar briefly recovers his Season 1 effectiveness by taking on and defeating Ninjor.
- From Bad to Worse: Katherine stealing the coin immediately affects Kimberly's health, but it also leads to the Falconzord and Ninjor being captured, which in turn disable the Ninja Zords.
- Literal Metaphor: At the end of the episode Katherine tears in two the stolen photo of Kimberly and Tommy, and while crumbling the former's half states:Katherine: Soon Kimberly will be out of the picture!''
- Spanner in the Works: Katherine would've also stolen the Yellow Power Coin, resulting in Aisha sharing Kimberly's plight, if not for Bulk and Skull's unintentional interference.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: According to Zordon, when Ninjor restored the group's powers, he linked the coins to their life forces. Due to her coin being stolen by evil, Kimberly's health is adversely affected.
- We Need a Distraction: With so many people at the beach, Rita and Zedd knew Katherine couldn't steal a Power Coin without being seen, and at Rito's suggestion, they dispatched the Tengas to both scare off the citizens and keep the Rangers busy so Katherine could take Kimberly's Power Coin undetected.
