A vampire stalks the streets of London, but this terror of the night doesn't adhere to any of the popular conventions.
Tropes:
- An Aesop: You can't always rely on preexisting accounts. Make the effort to discover the truth yourself.
- Death by Irony: Countess Mosca's squashed by a piece of abstract art that looks like a giant flyswatter.
- Light Is Not Good: "The sun nourishes all things, even evil."
- Our Vampires Are Different: The whole episode's about picking apart and shattering every cliche associated with vampires. They're actually giant flies.
- Squashed Flat: A non-comedic example. Norman squashes Countess Mosca to a literal pulp with a sculpture.
- Torches and Pitchforks: Averted. At one point the trio goes to a tavern and Virgil tries to rally the villagers into a mob to storm the vampire's stronghold, but nobody's interested.
