The body of a teenage girl is found floating in the Hudson river, leading SVU to strongly suspect the recently released Rob Miller, who has returned to intimidating his past victim Nikki Staines. Meanwhile, Stone decides to leave the Special Victims Unit after finding himself unable to cope with the cases investigated by the precinct.
