Recap / Kingdom Hearts Co M Mission 04 Agrabah

Go To

From Floors 2 to 6, Sora can choose to visit Wonderland, Olympus Coliseum, Agrabah, Monstro, and Halloween Town in any order. This is assuming he's visiting them in the order he does in the first game.

As soon as Sora, Donald, and Goofy step into the illusionary world of Agrabah, they find Aladdin being attacked by a group of Heartless. They try to help him out, but there are too many of them, forcing Aladdin to pull out the magic lamp and use his first wish to get rid of them. Aladdin and the Genie explain that he can only grant his master three wishes. After hearing that Aladdin is headed for the palace, they decide to accompany him there. Along the way, Aladdin explains that he needs to reach the palace to stop Jafar, who tricked him into entering the Heartless-filled Cave of Wonders to get the lamp. The Genie mentions that the only thing he truly desires is freedom, and Aladdin offers to use his last wish to give him just that. In the meantime, though, he still has a second wish he can use. Aladdin explains that the real reason he explored the Cave of Wonders in the first place was to get rich with the treasure inside so he could impress Princess Jasmine. Genie suggests that he use his second wish to turn himself into a prince, but Aladdin decides to wait until they reach the palace first.

Along the way, the group finds an unconscious Jasmine surrounded by Heartless. Not having enough time to reach her, Aladdin decides to use his second wish to once again get rid of them. Shortly after they approach Jasmine, even more Heartless show up. Sora decides to fight them this time so Aladdin doesn't waste his last wish. After the battle, however, there is a bright flash, and afterwards, they find the lamp is gone. They look up to find Jafar and his parrot Iago standing above them. The vizier reveals that he was the one who sent the Heartless after them in an attempt to get Aladdin to use up his last wish. Jafar pulls out the lamp, revealing that he was the one who stole it. He explains that he wanted Aladdin to waste his wishes so he wouldn't be able to win Jasmine's heart, since he wants to marry her in order to become Sultan. Jafar uses his first wish to take Jasmine and leaves with her, Iago, and Genie. Aladdin falls into despair, but after a bit of encouragement from Sora, he comes up with a plan.

Sora, Donald, and Goofy confront Jafar in front of the palace gates, with Aladdin nowhere in sight. Before a fight breaks out between them, Aladdin jumps down from a nearby roof and rushes at Jafar. In a moment of panic, he accidentally uses his second wish to command Genie to stop Aladdin. After that, Aladdin explains that Jafar can no longer win; if he wishes to win Jasmine's heart, he will still have to fight the group, and if he wishes for Genie to crush them, he can't win over Jasmine. Jafar retorts by stating that there is a wish he can make that will allow him to achieve both his goals: turning himself into a genie. After using the wish, Jafar transports himself and Sora deep into the Cave of Wonders and battles him. Sora manages to destroy Jafar's lamp, taking Jafar himself with it. Back in Agrabah, Genie tells Aladdin that he can use his last wish to become a prince, and he won't begrudge him for it. Still, Aladdin uses the wish to free Genie, stating that he'd be just like Jafar if he used a wish to try and win her over. Aladdin says that he wants Jasmine to meet the real him, and he thanks Sora for encouraging him earlier. Aladdin says that he realized Sora must also be looking for someone close to him, and he asks Genie to lend Sora a hand by giving him a summon card of himself. Genie says he'll be willing to lend a hand whenever they need it, since they freed him from eternal imprisonment in the lamp. With that, Aladdin bids farewell to Sora, leaving Genie with him.

After making it out of the illusion and back to Castle Oblivion, Sora finds himself wondering who the blond girl in his memory was. As he struggles to recall her name, Donald snaps him out of it by reminding them of their goal: finding Riku and Mickey. Meanwhile, the girl is shown drawing a picture of herself with Sora, Riku, and Kairi.

On the next floor, before they proceed to the next world, Sora stops Donald and Goofy by revealing the existence of the mysterious girl. He tells them that she was part of his friend group along with Riku and Kairi back on Destiny Islands. Jiminy pops out and reminds him that Sora has never mentioned there being another girl before. Sora responds by saying he must have forgotten about her because she moved away when he was very young. Donald asks Sora why he suddenly remembers her now, but Sora doesn't know. What he does know, though, is that his memory of her has slowly been returning the farther they proceed through Castle Oblivion. When Goofy asks him her name, he still can't remember, making him feel bad because he just said he wouldn't ever forget his friends earlier. Donald and Goofy tell him not to feel bad, since he's bound to remember her name if they make it farther into the castle. With that in mind, they continue onward, Sora now having even more reason to want to keep going...
