Woz: As it is written in this book—rejoice! Sougo Tokiwa's birthday has arrived!
He embarks on a path which will lead him to become the overlord of time, Oma Zi-O.
In order to obtain power befitting of an overlord, he must gather the remaining Ridewatches, of which there are five.
And the Rider whose power he now seeks to possess...
...will not come from Kamen Rider Hibiki.
Rather, it shall come from Kyosuke Kiriya.

In a game center, a young man is approached by Heure. The timejacker states that the young man used to have a dream to become an "oni", and he will help him to achieve that dream... transforming the young man to Another Hibiki.Woz is on a distraught because this is Sougo's birthday but he doesn't know how to celebrate it as befit of the future Demon King. Geiz and Tsukuyomi don't really care however, but Woz gains an unlikely ally in Junichiro Tokiwa who also want to surprise Sougo. As they talk about this, Junichiro brings Sougo's primary school yearbook. Sougo then remembers about his old friend that is weirder than him, in that he want to become an "oni" in the future, and he learned under a man named Hibiki. Geiz remembers a Kamen Rider based on oni, Kamen Rider Hibiki, and said that this is a clue to the next Ridewatch.

Sougo and Geiz go into the city looking for Sougo's old friend. Geiz explains that the being called "onis" are from an ancient organization pledged to protect peace. Suddenly Another Hibiki attacks them. Sougo transforms into Zi-O KuugaArmor while Geiz transforms into WizardArmor. In the midst of battle, suddenly a man separates them, and he transformed into an oni, Todoroki! The oni is on upper hand against the Another Rider when someone attack him with a flame, enabling the monster to escape. Then, another man named Kiriya Kyosuke appears before them, introducing himself as Hibiki. Realizing that this man is his old friend's teacher, Sougo takes Kiriya to his home.

In 95 DO, Sougo explains that he needs Kiriya's Ridewatch, but Kiriya didn't found anything like that. He does agree to give Sougo his Ridewatch though, but he must prove himself worthy to become an oni. Overhearing that, Woz also want to come as he must train to celebrate an event grandiosely, making Geiz trying hard not to laugh.

Sougo, Geiz and Woz go to train at Kiriya's, when Woz tries too hard and interrupting Sougo and Geiz's training. Sougo proves to be too weak for physical training and he protested to Kiriya, stating that he needs the Ridewatch to become king. The mentor just said that he doesn't worthy to have his Ridewatch. He leaves and reminisce about his past pupil, the boy named Tsutomu.

Meanwhile, Tsukuyomi found Todoroki. She asks about Kiriya, in which the senior oni said that Kiriya is not Hibiki and he is not to be trusted. Another Hibiki reappears and attack Todoroki again, and he almost win once again before Heure reverses his finisher using time-stopping power.

Sougo and Geiz, called by Tsukuyomi, arrive on the battle site. Geiz states that Sougo doesn't have Hibiki Ridewatch, so he must transform into Zi-O II to defeat the Another Rider. Geiz transforms to GeisRevive Shippu to chase the monster, and they both launches a rider kick to defeat Another Hibiki... revealing his identity as Tsutomu, Sougo's friend. Sougo undoes his transformation to help Tsutomu, but Heure reinsert the Hibiki Ridewatch to him, transforming him back.

As Geiz goes to attack the resurrected Another Hibiki, Kiriya arrives and transform into a white-colored oni to protect his pupil... much to his surprise when Another Hibiki assault him brutally instead!

Episode Trope

  • Big Damn Heroes: Inverted. Throughout the episode Kyosuke jumps in to protect his student, Another Hibiki, from being defeated.
  • A Birthday, Not a Break: Another Hibiki attacks on Sougo's 19th birthday. While Sougo doesn't really care, this drives Woz to new levels of ham to celebrate Sougo's birthday with the importance his overlord deserves.
  • Book Ends: A meta example. Because this was the final episode aired during the Heisei era (the following episode aired in the beginnings of the Reiwa era), Sougo uses the KuugaArmor in this episode, as Kuuga was officially the Rider that kickstarted the Heisei Era Riders.
  • Continuity Nod:
    • As with WArmor's appearance back in the Quiz arc, the KuugaArmor makes its official TV appearance since Heisei Generations FOREVER.
    • An odd example given the likely non-canon nature of the series, but not quite a Mythology Gag since fans were encouraged to watch it and it ran along with the show's first arc. The Supplementary Plan is referenced at the start of the episode by Woz, as not having a suitable celebration for Sougo's birthday has left him "fraught with anxiety."
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Poor Another Hibiki, pretty much every fight he gets into is one for him in this episode.
  • Large Ham: Woz is certainly HAMMED in this episode up to eleven.
  • Legacy Character: Enough time has passed that Kyosuke Kiriya is now Kamen Rider Hibiki and has even taken an apprentice. At least, that's what he claims; Tomizo Todayama states he hasn't actually taken the Hibiki powers.
  • "Reason You Suck" Speech: A Played for Laughs example when Tsukuyomi, having enough with Woz this episode, tells him that his dedication to making Sougo's birthday as amazing as possible will only satisfy himself, not Sougo. This puts Woz in a Heroic BSoD for the rest of the episode.
  • Unwitting Pawn: Heure is obviously using Tsutomu to lure Hibiki for some reason.
