Aruto visits a local high school after being called in to see if they can reboot their local HumaGear basketball coach! A.I.M.S. also takes interest in this and appears on the scene as well. Apparently, this particular HumaGear is nearing singularity, adopting aspects of a hot-blooded coach, which is starting to seem somewhat problematic…
Episode Tropes:
- Do Androids Dream?: Kobe was initially assigned to watch the school's ailing basketball team until their eventual disbandment, to help lessen the working hours of other teachers, but at some point he decided to break the rules and step in further to be the team's coach, helping the team improve.
- Bittersweet Ending: Sweeter than bitter. Kobe's basketball team loses the game, but their effort inspires more players to join in the next season, keeping the team from disbanding while training a new Kobe.
- Down to the Last Play: Kobe's basketball team has the ball with 14 seconds to go, with #4/Yuta at the line. He misses both free throws and the team lost on a last second layup.
- Foreshadowing: The Mammoth Zetsumirise Key that Yua recovered hints at the appearance of Zero-One's Breaking Mammoth.
- The Reveal: Aruto learns that the HumaGears being turned into Magia are ones who developed self-awareness.
