Metsuboujinrai.net’s terrorist member Ikazuchi's data was stolen from Aruto by Jin, who he had previously chosen to stake a bet on Aruto's dream! Furthermore, with Yua Yaiba's help, Jin was able to completely restore Naki and free them from Fuwa! Now all that is left for them is to revive Ikazuchi and then MetsubouJinrai.NET will be restored once again! Zero-One, who refuses to allow that to happen, engages Jin in a heated confrontation! However, the one who decides to take his place in order to protect Jin is Horobi!

Episode Trope:

  • The Bad Guy Wins: Ultimately, Horobi succeeds in what he wanted, namely retrieving Ikazuchi's Progrise Key, and restoring Metsuboujinrai.net back to full strength.
  • Big Damn Heroes:
    • Naki saved Horobi and helped Aruto by hacking ZAIA's troops and Giger.
    • Fuwa singlehandedly managed to stop Ark from hijacking Naki (and ZAIA specs users) simply by talking.
  • Borrowed Catchphrase: Twice Aruto’s catchphrase is used by others when they make a lame pun intentionally evocative of his style. First when Naki shows Yua how stupid Fuwa’s sense of humor is, then at the end of the episode when Is and the farmers repeat the lettuce pun Aruto made in the previous episode.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Gai versus his hacked troops. Also, Gai competely dominates Horobi during his first fight, overwhelming him with the powers of his Thousand Jacker. This ends up being subverted, as it only takes a minute for Horobi to figure out Gai's tactics and completely dominate the second part of the fight.
  • The Comically Serious: To demonstrate how odd Fuwa’s sense of humor is to Yua, Naki makes two Aruto-style Puns that send Fuwa into hysterics, with Naki keeping their voice and face completely expressionless as they do so.
  • Evil Versus Evil: ZAIA Enterprise vs Metsuboujinrai.net, complete with their own footsoldiers.
  • Forgotten Fallen Friend: Despite Horobi deliberately killing Midori in front of Aruto last episode, he seems to immediately move past that from the moment Horobi defends Jin intinctually and focuses on convincing him that he's more than just a follower of the Ark. He even lets him go with Naki after he defeats Gai.
  • He's Back!:
    • After being reduced to scrap metal all the way back in the MetsubouJinrai.NET Arc, Raiden, now known as Ikazuchi, finally makes his triumphant return.
    • Horobi as well, since his second wind sees him winning his fight with Gai.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Thouser using Naki as ZAIA's tool is coming back to bite him. Naki is now capable to hack any ZAIA security system at will.
    • A positive example as well: Aruto Taking A Jacking Break for Horobi paid off karmically a few moments later, when Naki hacked the Gigers that were attacking Aruto.
  • More than Mind Control: Naki ultimately decides to side with Metsuboujinrai.net, out of the desire to make Horobi's dream come true.
  • Putting the Band Back Together: A villainous case in which the episode is about reassembling the full MetsubouJinrai.NET roster.
  • Ridiculously Average Guy: Naki revealed Fuwa's actual past as this. Even Yua commented that it was boring.
  • Taking the Bullet: Surprisingly, Aruto is doing this for Horobi, when the latter is about to be defeated by Thouser.
    • Before that, Horobi attempts this with Jin, putting himself in the path of Zero-One's Progrise Hopper Blade to protect him. Notably, Horobi has no idea why he put himself in his path in the first place.
  • The Reveal: Played With. It has already been made known that Fuwa’s Dark and Troubled Past from the beginning of the series is a fabrication from his Fake Memories, which raised the question of what his actual past was like. Naki’s account of it is glossed over but elicits a wide-eyed expression from Yua. Not because they revealed anything particularly shocking, but because Fuwa’s true past is so unbelievably pedestrian and unremarkable that it’s boring.
  • Villain Respect: Horobi gains this for Aruto by the end, saying to him that he's a unique human being, and personally thinks to himself that he's clearly one that can change the future of the Humagears.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Gai's ongoing one has another major spike here with him screaming at Horobi and company while pushing his own people away.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: Aruto gives one of these speeches to Horobi of all people, declaring that he protected Jin twice out of fatherly instinct, not because Ark ordered him to, and that he's not a servant of Ark, but someone with free will and a dream. Notably, unlike last episode, it seems to have a visible effect on him.
