The fantastic Swordsman of the Currents going forth!

Tassel: My name is Tassel, and my heart is currently pounding with both anxiety and anticipation!
Why, you ask? Touma's sword has been sealed and he can't transform into Saber.
However, he finally found a hint toward Avalon's location.
But if Touma manages to get to Avalon...
...he will be there waiting for him!

As a wounded Rintaro returns to the library of the Sword of Logos, Touma tries to look for clues about Avalon to undo the seal on his sword, but ends up clashing with Calibur, who is also making his way there. Meanwhile, Ogami and Ren try to investigate the mysterious disappearances of a couple of cities, only for, Legiel, Zooous, and Desast to show up and Storius putting Mei in great danger.

  • Big Damn Heroes: Rintaro arrives as Blades Fantastic Lion in order to help out a struggling Buster and Kenzan against Legeiel, Zooous, Desast AND Medusa Megid in the nick of time.
  • Blank White Void: Avalon is nothingness, blinding light and the king.
  • Don't Think, Feel: Touma acquires the King of Arthur book by focusing on feeling it out instead of trying in vain to look for it.
  • Dual Wielding: Touma wields both the Kaenken Rekka and the Kingexcalibur after achieving the Dragon Arthur form.
  • Eldritch Location: The whole journey to Avalon and the place itself. The first part takes the cake as an acid trip dream sort of place where the landscape itself causes motion sickness.
  • Foreshadowing: Whilst the swordsmen are in trouble, Sophia urges Tetsuo to help them. A pink sword is briefly shown, hinted to be Tetsuo's weapon as Slash, while he comments that he needs more time to prepare it.
  • The Glomp: Mei's overbearingly excited hug nearly knocked Rintaro off his feet.
  • Meaningful Background Event: When Mei cheers for Buster and Kenzan, Storious can be seen behind her, foreshadowing his ambush.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Everyone is worried about Rintaro because of his Freak Out following the fight with Zooous.
  • Ship Tease: Mei makes heart symbols with her hands while watching Rintaro fight. She even gave him a hug after his victory.
  • Third Line, Some Waiting: How this episode is structured. Plot A is Touma and Kento heading off into Avalon so Touma can unseal his Swordriver while Plot B is the others trying to defend the city from the Megid after three parts of the city disappear. Plot C has Rintaro training to use his three WonderRide books at once time to get the Fantastic Lion form to avenge his fallen master, which eventually gets turned over with Plot B.
  • Training from Hell: Rintaro undergoes this in order to be able to use the power of three similar-color Wonder Ride Books at the same time.
  • Wham Shot: This is more a Wham Shot for the audience: Hayato's(?) transformation into Calibur. His transformation isn't really a shock because of what was shown, but rather, what wasn't shown: the "what" in question being Hayato's(?) face. If Calibur's identity had truly been out in the open, why would his face be obscured and his voice still be modified?

Tassel: Both Touma and Rintaro have finally achieved their goals.
But what is this "great trial" that he mentioned?
Now I'm curious!
