Go To

Type HIGH SPEED! The True Power! Type High Speed is Born! is a Special DVD episode of Kamen Rider Drive released with an issue of the Televi-Kun magazine.

Shinnosuke and Kiriko are following a trail of illegal knock-offs of the popular Televi-Kun magazine, the Tevile-kun. This investigation puts them against the "mastermind", Roidmude 027, who during battle manages to copy Drive's equipment, becoming Imitation Drive! Now facing the opponent who has all of his skills (not true) and is just as powerful (also not true), Shinnosuke doesn't know what to do, when Mr. Belt comes up with a novel idea - to upgrade all of Drive's equipment to much higher standards. And so, Kamen Rider Drive ascends into High Speed!

  • Bavarian Fire Drill: When Gou arrives as Kamen Rider Mach to assist Shinnosuke, Imitation Drive calls on him to attack the real Drive, pointing out that the other Drive doesn't even have a tire and is obviously fake. Mach falls for it, unaware that moments earlier Imitation Drive had hijacked Max Flare's tire during a Tire Change.
  • Bifauxnen: Kiriko in her butler/ chauffeur outfit.
  • Evil Doppelgänger: Imitation Drive, allegedly. See Poke The Poodle below for descriptions of his 'evil'.
  • Gratuitous English: As Type High Speed, Shinnosuke swaps his usual catchphrase with "Shall we drive?" (in English). Also 027's response: "No thank you!"
  • Large Ham: 027/ Imitation Drive in a nutshell.
  • Lighter and Softer: As expected for a Televi-Kun DVD episode.
  • Magic Feather:High Speed and Mega Max Flare. They're only a Palette Swaps, to the dismay of Shinnosuke.
  • Poke the Poodle: 027's evil scheme is to disappoint children everywhere by selling them shoddy knock-offs of Televi-Kun magazine, and his idea of tarnishing Kamen Rider Drive's reputation includes stealing a bicycle, texting while walking, and graffiti. To Shinnosuke's outrage, Kiriko briefly falls for it.
  • Shoddy Knockoff Product: The Tevile-Kun magazines look like the real thing on the outside. Inside, however, is nothing more than just a crappy picture of Shadow Moon drawn in crayons.
  • Spot the Imposter: Attempted by Gou, but failed, to the dismay of the real Drive. For one thing, Imitation Drive sounds nothing like Shinnosuke.

The Roidmude Count: 87
