Go To

Written by Riku Sanjo
Directed by Kenzo Maihara

A series of kidnapping happens where Roidmude 008 approaches in every couple's car and kidnaps the woman. The Special Investigation Unit decides to take the case. Go wants to participate but forced to withdraw due to lack of driving licence and forced to sit in for the test along with Chase. As Rinna, Genpachiro, Kiriko and Shinnosuke disguise themselves as couples and get into action, Mr. Belt (in possession of Shift Formula) visits Go, as the latter introduces him to Banno, which makes Krim feel uneasy, to the point of him imprisoned in an tablet further "steals" Krim's concept as the Drive Driver.

Rinna and Genpachiro meets 008 in their, alerting Shinnosuke, Kiriko, Mr. Belt and Go. As Go about to leave his test, he faces 006 and his goons again, fighting them as Mach. Chase halts his test for a while and helps Mach as 006 escapes again, leaving his goons destroyed. As 008 abouts to kidnap Rinna, he leaves her as he had "made a mistake", infuriating her until Shinnosuke arrives. 008 express his gratitude to meet Drive and reveals his evolved form, Tornado. Drive Type Formula fights Tornado, but finds Tornado is stronger than him due to the Roidmude stating he is approaching his Super Evolution, forcing Mr. Belt to take over as Type Tridoron. After a brief fight, Tornado escapes. Drive then cancels his transformation while another evil Krim is watching them from a distance. Go checks his bag but finds Banno has left it and Chase resumes his driving test.

At the Unit's office, Rinna can't stop grieving after Tornado calls her "a mistake" with Genpachiro resting at the hospital. Kyu finally finds the man Tornado copied: George Shirogane, a globe throttling fashion designer but not much information specified about him. Krim suggests the Unit to visit the Drive Pit to analyze Tornado's abilities and as the enter, Banno is in the Drive Pit analyzing the blueprints of Drive's gear and equipment. He then reveals himself to the team and his details as Kiriko and Go's birth father, as well as the creator of Roidmudes. Banno offers them his help but Krim rejects the offer, calling Banno a "devil". Banno presents the Unit Tornado's base after he manages to analyze his movements. Arriving at the hideout, Shinnosuke, Go and Kiriko finds the victims and Heart and Tornado reveals themselves, allowing the three to take them back since none of them are catalysts for his Super Evolution.

As the Kamen Riders fight against the Roidmudes, Tornado sees Kiriko as his perfect woman and kidnaps her but before Drive and Mach about to save her, Banno in Ride Booster Red attacks the Riders and the blast of its gunfire made Drive fall off the cliff. This leaves Mach struggling to fight Heart, who stops the Rider from trying to rescue Drive. With Shinnosuke weakened and badly injured, Roidmude 004 reveals himself and kidnaps Mr. Belt.

  • Aren't You Going to Ravish Me?: At one point, Tornado grabs Rinna and knocks Lt. Otta aside. He then takes a look at Rinna and declares he made a mistake. Rinna's reaction is outrage and she spends part of the episode furiously trying to figure out just what caused him to reject her.
  • Berserk Button: Shinnosuke goes nuts when Tornado tells him that he's a lonely loser who can't get a date. He even charges at Tornado before Mr. Belt points out that Formula is better suited to face him.
    • Banno's very existence seems to be one for Mr. Belt.
  • Blow You Away: As expected of a Roidmude named Tornado, this is his primary method of attack, defense and retreat.
  • Butt-Monkey: Brain again. Even when Heart directly commands Medic to restore his body, Brain grumbles that Medic'll just mess with him again. She drags him offscreen for his trouble.
  • Catchphrase: "Aren't I cool?" seems to be Tornado's based on how many times he says it.
  • Conservation of Ninjutsu: In the previous episode, 036 and 062 had Chase on the defensive for much of the fight. Once they're joined by 098 here, however, Chase is able to handle them much easier.
  • Everything's Better with Spinning: Tornado spins as an attack, as a defense and when he needs to retreat.
  • Groin Attack: Rinna delivers one to Tornado when he comments he made a mistake when he grabbed her.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: Realising that continuing his fight against Drive is much too risky, Tornado opts to retreat and focus on achieving Ultimate Evolution.
    • Likewise, 006 withdraws when his three mooks 036, 062 and 098 are killed by Chase.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Tornado is apparently this, as he has at least equal speed to Drive Type Formula and superior power.
  • No-Sell: Both Drive and Mach hit Evolved Heart with numerous finishers, but Heart laughs their assault off.
    • Earlier in the episode, Tornado (in his human guise) no sells Rinna's blows to his crotch.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Rather than continue fighting Drive and risk being killed, Tornado decides to withdraw and focus on achieving his Ultimate Evolution.
    • When Shinnosuke, Gou and Kiriko discover Tornado's hideout, he offers to simply let them take the hostages and leave, since they don't suit his purposes. Compared to other Roidmudes who took hostages, that's downright noble.
  • Rapidfire Fisticuffs: With the power of the Shift Speed Prototype, Chase delivers a set of these as a set up to his finisher to take out 006's mooks.
  • Rule of Three: 006 brings an additional mook (098) in addition to his bodyguards 036 and 062. They also happen to be one of each type of Roidmude: Spider, Bat and Cobra.
  • She Cleans Up Nicely: Shinnosuke notes that Kiriko put a lot of effort into looking good for their (decoy) date. Kiriko seems to think the same of Shinnosuke in casual clothes, if the brief lookover she gives him is any indication.
  • This Is a Drill: Tornado is able to turn his right arm into a drill.
  • Wrecked Weapon: Tornado shatters the 10-ton Weight during his fight with Drive.

The Roidmude Count: 39
The Answer: When he finds the perfect beauty.

Episode 2/4: What Is The World of 2035 Like?

To promote Kamen Rider Drive Surprise Future, four one-minute clips detailing the plot of the movie will be shown after their respective episodes, this being the second.

While finding a hiding place, Eiji was called by his colleague to jump to 2015 to prevent a dystopian timeline from happening in their time, using a time machine together but warns to hurry up as it won't last much longer.

Elsewhere in a futuristic hidden Drive Pit, Dark Drive views in the present of 2015 that Shinnosuke is weakened due to Banno's betrayal and had Krim kidnapped by Roidmude 004 for Banno's evil plan. After seeing that Shinnosuke is defenseless now, Dark Drive plans to go back in time to kill the rebel, Eiji Tomari, who wants to change the dystopian future.

  • Dark Reprise: As opposed to Mr. Belt's cheerful "Start Your Engines!", Dark Drive has an ominous and mechanical "Start Our Mission."
  • Time Travel: Eiji plans to head to the past using something called the Time Road, which takes the form of a whirlpool-like portal.

The Answer: A ruined wasteland full of despair.
