Batman battles the Joker on a rooftop. The Joker manages to escape by detonating a couple of flash-bang smoke bombs and flies away using a jetpack. However, a batarang hit forces him to crash-land right in the middle of a child's birthday party, where he is mistaken for the expected party clown.
After being asked to tell jokes, the Joker obliges. However, the audience is now Bound and Gagged, and doesn't seem to find the jokes funny in any case. Billy Batson arrives with ice cream for the party; upon seeing the situation, he demands that the Joker release his captives. Instead, the Joker restrains him, puts him in a box, and starts sawing the box in half. Fortunately, the criminal clown didn't do a very good job tying him up, and he's able to get an arm free, remove his gag, and say the magic word to switch to his superheroic persona. The Joker is quickly defeated; in response to a partygoer's request for balloon animals, he is tied up and made to blow up balloons for Shazam to tie into shape.

- Mistaken for Clown: The Joker crash lands at a kid's birthday party. The kid and his mother think he's the clown they hired for the party. The Joker takes the opportunity to take the kids and the mother hostage, only for Shazam! to save them and force the Joker to do actual clown tricks as punishment.
- Saw a Woman in Half: The Joker tries to do this for real; fortunately, Billy is able to undo his gag and say "Shazam!"
