Business

  • A Day in the Limelight: This episode gives Bobbie Looey the most focus thus far.
  • And Then I Said: Before Magilla gets corporatized, he says "And I said, if you think I'm paying full price for that ham..."
  • The Apprentice: Augie becomes an apprentice of sorts to Bobbie Looey. Bobbie, The Mentor, takes her under her wing to teach her about business.
  • Ascend to a Higher Plane of Existence: After acquiring every business in the town, Augie ascends to the plane of Maximum Business.
  • The Cameo: The Cattanooga Cats return in this episode. They can be seen in the background at the Catanooga Cheese Explosion.
  • Constantly Curious: Augie asks many questions about Bobbie nonstop.
  • Executive Ball Clicker: Augie has a ball clicker in her office at the Cattanooga Cheese Explosion.
  • Eye Beams: Augie corporatizes everyone by blasting them with her third eye.
  • Fisher King: When Augie reaches Maximum Business, she changes the town and townspeople to be more corporate.
  • Fun with Acronyms: Augie's philosophy is HUGS - Help Uthers Get Smiles.
  • Hero-Worshipper: Augie starts heavily idolizing Bobbie Looey because she is a businesswoman.
  • Holding Hands: Huck and Jinks hold hands as they watch Augie corporatize the town.
  • Iris Out: The episode ends on one, which is interrupted by Lambsy saying "TGIF - am I right?"
  • Literal Metaphor: Augie quite literally gets a big head about her business.
  • Literal-Minded: Peter's pie chart is an actual pie. Touche Turtle spreads butter on a spreadsheet.
  • Love Confession: Mr. Jinks finally tells Huckleberry Hound that he loves him.
  • Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: The kids decide to name their business Jet Pack Karate Nugget Inc.
  • One-Word Title: Just "Business".
  • Precocious Crush: At times, it can seem like Augie has a crush on Bobbie. She flat out says she loves her and collects pieces of her hair in a heart-shaped locket.
  • Predatory Business: JKN ends up acquiring every business in Jellystone.
  • Take Over the World: At the end of the episode, it's revealed that Bobbie Looey plans to take over Jellystone and then the world.
  • Tears of Joy: When Augie finally sells JKN, Mr. Jinks cries tears of joy as he hugs Huck.
  • Third Eye: After ascending to Maximum Business, Augie gains a huge third eye.
  • Young Entrepreneur: Augie, Shag, and Yakky start up their own business.

Pants

  • A Day in the Limelight: For Squiddly Diddly and Magilla Gorilla.
  • Affably Evil: Despite being a Jerkass and criminal, The King is surprisingly friendly to El Kabong.
  • Appropriate Animal Attire: Squiddly invents four-legged pants, which are perfect for her considering she has four feet. However, it is really only appropriate for her specifically.
  • Bait-and-Switch:
    • In the middle of his song, Magilla chews out Wally for always wearing the same porkpie hat. At first, it seems like he's going to beat him up, but he gives him a new and better hat.
    • El Kabong was chasing The King all over town...to tell him he liked his pants.
  • Bland-Name Product: Loopy de Loop threatens to unfollow Squiddly on "Jellygram".
  • The Cameo:
    • The King returns as a criminal on the run. He and El Kabong compliment each other on their new pants.
    • Shelly from Jabberjaw is shown working at Barbera's. Winsome Witch keeps asking her if they sell pants.
  • Captain Obvious: "Did you know that working at work increases productivity at work?"
  • Drowning My Sorrows: Magilla heads to Barbera's to drown his sorrows in artisan cheese and crackers. He later goes to Mud Bug Cafe to do the same with milkshakes
  • Edible Theme Clothing: Magilla attempts to start a fashion trend by wearing food.
  • Et Tu, Brute?: Magilla is really hurt when Loopy and Jabberjaw get in on the pants craze.
  • Here We Go Again!: At the end of the episode, Squiddly starts another fashion trend — comically large hats.
  • Insert Song: The episode opens with a Broadway-esque song about how Magilla is a great fashion designer.
  • It Will Never Catch On: Magilla doubts that four-legged pants will catch on. Surprisingly enough, they become a huge hit.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: At the end when Squiddly starts yet another trend with large hats, Magilla decides to go back to Mud Bug Cafe for milkshakes.
  • Mistaken for Profound: Paw Rugg's incoherent mumbling is interpreted by Magilla and Squiddly to be deep.
  • One-Word Title: Just "Pants".
  • Overly Long Gag: El Kabong and The King exchanging finger guns at each other, complete with bell ding sounds.
  • Rage Breaking Point: Magilla is furious when he finds out that Loopy and Jabber have been selling Squiddly's pants.
  • Sanity Slippage: Magilla goes insane after people stop coming to his store. He has a full on breakdown in the store, where he laughs like a maniac and wears food for clothes.
  • Shout-Out: So-So is shown wearing a Fred Flintstone outfit.
  • Wedgie: Winnie ends up getting one thanks to her four-legged pants.
