• Be Careful What You Wish For: Kazuma expresses his desire to stay here right in front of Class 2's faces. He gets what he wants, including having to put up with Drill Sergeant Nasty Tanya.
• Hypocrite: Subaru's reaction to the Pleaides.
  Subaru: Combat Maids? That's too much.
  Ainz: I don't want to hear that from the guy with the Demon Maids.
• Invincible Hero: Discussed when Subaru states that Reinhard is likely the strongest person in his world thanks to his ludicrously Long List of Divine Protections. When a flabbergasted Ainz asks how someone is supposed to defeat Reinhard, Subaru admits he has no idea. He doesn't even get through all of it because Ainz interrupts him, asking how someone is supposed to defeat Reinhardt, to which Subaru explains he has no idea.
• Long List: When Subaru explains Reinhard's 'Divine Protection', the list of things it protects him against covers the entire screen for several seconds.
• Loophole Abuse: Done by the Queen herself, Tanya who can't kill Kazuma but can put him in a Fate Worse than Death.
• Oh, Crap!: Subaru tests out the possibility that Return by Death still works. He (and the audience) are left speechless when it does.
• Remember the New Guy?: Played with. Roswaal states the other class has always been there, but the main class confirm with each other that they were not there the day before.
• Throw the Dog a Bone: Beatrice and Ram support Subaru because all three agree to work together to get back home.
• Training from Hell: Kazuma is forced to go through this curtesy of Tanya, Puck and Megumin.
• What the Hell, Hero?: All of Class 2 calls out on Kazuma for being a selfish jerk, refusing to help them get back home.
• With Friends Like These...: Megumin joins in the Training from Hell by summoning an explosion spell on Kazuma.
• You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: Tanya and Ainz are both flabbergasted after Subaru explains about Reinhard's 'Divine Protection'.
