Tropes used in this episode:
- Can't Catch Up: Deconstructed with Kazemaru. After Raimon loses the match with The Genesis, he comes to the conclusion that he isn't strong enough and leaves the team.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Fubuki's past: After Shirou and Atsuya won a football tournament, an avalanche accident killed Shirou's family and he was the only one who survived after Atsuya pushed him off the car.
- Parental Abandonment: Fubuki lost them, along with his brother, due to an avalanche accident.
- Spared by the Adaptation: Kazemaru, sort off. Instead of being beaten up by The Genesis like in the game, he leaves the team after seeing how dangerous they are.
- Wham Episode: Hiroto is actually Gran, The Captain of The Genesis, Fubuki's past is revealed after Raimon loses the match, and at the end of the episode, Kazemaru leaves the team. All of that in one episode!
- What Beautiful Eyes!: If Gran's line about Endou's eyes is any indication:"I'm in love, Endou-kun, with those eyes of yours!"
