Recap / He Blinded Me...With Science

Go To

Liv eats the brain of a disgraced scientist. Blaine, after reverting back into a zombie, considers his options. Liv becomes suspicious of her boyfriend, Drake, who Major is ordered to kidnap.

  • Dying Wish: Blaine tells his guys that if he dies, they shouldn't go after Boss. He's too violent.
  • Hollywood Homely: Played for Laughs with the fact Liv disguises herself as a "normal" human and Ravi finds her Uncanny Valley-inducing despite being Rose McIver's normal gorgeous self.

  • How's Your British Accent?: A visual example rather than an accent-related one. Liv's "normal human" disguise is basically an excuse for Rose McIver to appear without her character's zombie makeup.
  • Incurable Cough of Death: Maybe incurable. The sign we get that Blaine's newly rediscovered zombism is breaking down is that he starts coughing. It's what motivates him to inject himself with the cure, despite not knowing how well it would work (if at all).
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: Vaughn gets out of the zombie-infested lab, leaving Rita behind, goes up to his office, locks the door, and immediately heads for his drinks cabinet.
  • Lame Pun Reaction: Clive isn't impressed that Ravi has nicknamed the burning death Victim of the Week Cinder-Ella.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Liv's disguise to sneak into the Max Rager labs is a wig, makeup, and glasses. Rita and Vaughn see right through it.

  • Trapped in Containment: Vaughn accidentally lets a zombie loose in the lab. He and Rita run for it while the Red Shirt scientist is getting eaten. Rita breaks a heel and begs Vaughn to hold the elevator. He doesn't. Rita kills the zombie offscreen, but gets scratched up enough that she's certainly been infected.
  • Uncanny Family Resemblance: Annie and Jenny Rosine are played by the same actress. They look different from each other, but only because Annie was dramatically scarred by an acne cure gone wrong.
  • Wham Shot: Rita, seen outside the office of Vaughn, has turned into a zombie.
