Short Summary
Upon learning that Gon's father left a clue for him in the video game "Greed Island", Gon and Killua arrive in Yorknew City to participate in the auction to obtain a copy to locate that clue. They're mission may not be so easy however, as the mysterious Phantom Troupe has decided to claim the auction's presented items for themselves.
This Arc Contains Examples Of:
- Chain Pain: Kurapika is revealed to developed chains as his Nen ability.
- Darker and Edgier: This is the first arc of Hunter X Hunter with an overly serious tone.
- Demoted to Extra: Gon, Killua, and Leorio are sidelined to minor character status since the arc focuses on Kurapika's conflict with the Phantom Troupe.
