- Barney tells Ted what GNB did to the Arcadian to get people to leave and immediately backtracks each time.
Barney: I don't recall saying snakes.- Afraid that she would reject him for being linked with the demolition of the Arcadian, Ted instead tells her that he is a veterinarian. The following day, Zoey enlists him into a quest to release rabbits from a laboratory.
- The Cameo: Famed New York drag queen Miss Coco Peru plays the hooker hitting on Ted.
- Fake Orgasm: Implied. When Barney and Ted argue over who gets to press the button to demolish a building, Robin (Who dated both of them) chimes in that neither of them could even find "the button" and that the building would probably "fake an implosion to get it over with." Both of them then insist Robin was talking about the other.
- Mistaken for Prostitute: The first time they meet, Ted had previously been hit on by some male transvestites, and when Zoey approached him to talk about the building, Ted thought that she was also a male prostitute.
- N-Word Privileges: Averted. Zoey drops the word tr*nny and no one bats an eye.
- Rule of Three: Barney tells Ted about the snakes in the Arcadian three times.
- Soapbox Sadie: Ted later discovers that Zoey spends most of her time as an activist, specifically protesting against GNB to protect The Arcadian. He later helps her release rabbits from a laboratory.
