A Cuban man, Esteban Hernandez (Omar Avila), risks his life, almost drowning at sea, so that his wife, Marina (Mercedes López Renard) can see Dr. House.
Dr. House seems strangely disinterested in this patient who traveled a thousand miles to see him. Dr. Wilson catches House observing Dr. Foreman's farewell party.
Dr. House fires Dr. Chase, telling him it's time for a change. This causes Dr. Cameron to also resign and rekindle her relationship with Dr. Chase.
Esteban leaves several messages on Dr. House's home phone answering machine after been given his phone number by Dr. Foreman to get back at House for firing Dr. Chase.
