Nice Character, Mean Actor: Bill Cassidy is a model TV father on-screen, but is a pure asshole – to put it kindly – when the cameras go off.
Ratings Stunt: The end of the TV show "That's Our Dad" has a segment at the end of each episode where Bill Davis' benevolent on-screen character "adopts" two orphaned children. This is purely done (at Davis' behest) to draw in ratings and $$$money$$$ rather than any pure motive to raise awareness of orphaned children and their needs.
"The Reason You Suck" Speech: As you can guess, Jonathan is really appalled at Bill's attitude toward children and others and really lets him have it when he finally confronts him.
Small Name, Big Ego: Jonathan does his darndest to get Bill to realize he eventually will be exposed and humbled if he keeps his attitude up and the two children whom want him to be their real-life father go to the press to tell everything.
Truth in Television: The kids learn a tough lesson about how television and real life are two different things, especially when they learn the truth about the star of their favorite TV show.
