With the start of this volume, all of the primary cast has been introduced, save for a few that aren't mentioned until much later. Thus, the series begins doing short arcs with little continuity: Ayumu competing with Nagi in karaoke, Hayate retrieving Nagi's notebook from Hakuou (which suddenly becomes a haunted house), Hayate trying to develop a "secret deadly technique", etc. Chapters included:
