Recap / Hart MMBC

Go To

The Hart MMBC is a Murder Mystery Bachelor Challenge, and the second part of the harmoniouspixels MMBC trilogy, preceded by Francis and succeeded by Baines. The table of contents can be found here.

Years after his loss on the Early BC, Dean Hart decides to run his own BC in an attempt to find love. Joined by upcoming soccer star and sportscaster Australia Aytes, the show starts off as normal. However, just as the show begins, it is revealed that Cathy Baines and Chadrick Waite have returned to influence a contestant to take a similar path as Francis BC did. Under Cathy's control, the murderer slowly begins to turn the BC into an MMBC.

    Deaths and Survivors (spoilers)
  1. Jake Francisco - drowning
  2. Delano Ebonywood - hit on the head with a hammer
  3. Kiran Harris and Aliza Rinne - burned alive
  4. James Louie - fatal stab wound
  5. Lennon Lynch - asphyxiation
  6. Ambroze Zoltan - electrocution
  7. Caleb Lowe - jellybean poison
  8. Jacob Bryson - electrocution again
  9. Esme Razoud - gunshot
  10. Alice Juster, murderer
  11. Spencer Keaney, winner

This MMBC provides examples of:

  • Character Overlap: Alice Juster is literally a Sim version of the protagonist from The Phantom Tollbooth.
    • Also bleeds into Crossover, as characters from Danganronpa begin to appear and become involved in the plot the closer to the end of the project things get. They primarily star in a spinoff and the third installment in the trilogy.
  • Death Is Cheap: Done briefly with Cathy Baines. Although killed by the murderer, it is revealed that who was "killed" was Actually a Doombot, not the real person.
  • Karaoke Box / Jukebox Musical
  • Mister Seahorse: With Australia. His pregnancy is confirmed to the audience in the second episode, and he appears in maternity clothing as the show progresses.
    • The pregnancy is never addressed by the contestants or Dean himself. The closest mention to the pregnancy by Dean or another contestant is a brief moment in the sixteenth episode.
    • However, in the finale, Australia himself calls back to it, having fled the BC house for the safety of himself and his child.
  • Sophomore Slump: Compared to the utter awe and bewilderment that Chadrick's win inspired in Francis and the events of Baines, Dean Hart's project unfortunately tends to get lost in the shuffle.
