Recap / Happy Heroes S 1 E 49

Go To

Chinese title: "电博士" ("Diàn bóshì")
English title: "Electric Doctor"

While preparing for a date with Miss Peach, Doctor H. is victim of an accident during a routine hairstyling that gives him the ability to shoot electricity to objects simply by touching them, which turns out to be more harmful than good. Meanwhile, Big M. and Little M. attempt to cut Planet Xing's electricity short by going into its power grid to cut its wiring.

This episode contains the following tropes:

  • Dream Reality Check: Doctor H. announces to Happy S. that Miss Peach finally agreed to go out on a date with him, and he asks the Superman to punch him to make sure he's not dreaming. Happy S. uses his signature Happy S. Punch, sending Doctor H. crashing into the house's TV.
Doctor H.: You know, a nice, light punch would have sufficed.
  • Electric Love: At the end of the episode, after having spent so much time being unable to touch anything without electrocuting it, Doctor H. becomes infatuated by Miss Peach and a (presumably metaphorical) shock comes to him after Miss Peach blinks, causing him to fall onto the ground, mostly motionless and with heart-shaped eyes.
  • Funny Background Event: There is a shot outside where, if you look in the background, you might notice the silhouette of a certain boy and alien on a bike flying in front of the moon.
  • Improbable Hairstyle Sequence: Smart S. cuts Doctor H.'s hair into a few rather ridiculous styles, such as a heart with an arrow through it, a pumpkin, and a telephone.
  • Limited Wardrobe: When Doctor H. goes to his closet to find an outfit to wear on his date, we see nothing but copies of his usual yellow-and-purple clothing.
  • Loves Me Not: At one point in the episode, Doctor H. plucks the petals off a flower, saying "she loves me, she loves me not" to determine if Miss Peach likes him back. Whether he lands on "loves me" or "loves me not" is never shown.
  • Shout-Out: The Full Moon Silhouette that the film E.T. the Extraterrestrial is known for is referenced very briefly, with the silhouette of the bike quickly passing by the full moon in the background of one scene.
