From one craving to another.

Originally made as bonus content for the Xbox-360 game of the same name, later released on the official YouTube channel on August 1, 2008.

Nutty buys a literal truckload of candy from Lifty and Shifty, only to go to hospital for eating so much that the candy tears his insides. After some time in a mental ward, he's cured of his addiction only to quickly replace it with another one: video games.

"False Alarm" contains the following:

  • Addiction Displacement: At first, Nutty is a changed squirrel, but once Lifty and Shifty offer him video games, he becomes addicted to them.
  • Carry a Big Stick: Nutty gets ahold of a giant mallet and crushes a barrel with The Mole in it.
  • Coat Full of Contraband: Lifty and Shifty do this with a coat full of candy to lure Nutty in. When Nutty rejects Lifty's coat of candy after having his addiction cured, Shifty opens a coat full of video games instead, kick-starting a whole new addiction.
  • Day Hurts Dark-Adjusted Eyes: Unsurprisingly, Nutty is briefly blinded upon walking outside after staying inside playing video games for almost a year.
  • Hobo Gloves: The Mole is seen wearing a pair of fingerless knit gloves along with a tin can hat while warming himself in front of (or rather, facing away from) a Trashcan Bonfire to signify that he's a hobo in this episode.
  • I Know Mortal Kombat: Thanks to his new video game obsession, Nutty goes on a rampage by using skills and attacks he got from them.
  • Karma Houdini: Nutty steals Cuddles' car and kills Petunia, Lifty, Shifty, and The Mole, but suffers no consequences besides his candy addiction returning. Then again, considering how often that addiction gets him killed, maybe that is punishment enough.
  • Karmic Death: After enabling Nutty's addictions for a profit and getting him hurt by dumping a truckful of candy on him, Lifty and Shifty get what's coming to them when he crashes into their van and sends them smashing through the windshield.
  • Nailed to the Wagon: After Nutty's sugar addiction lands him in the hospital for what likely isn't the first time, Sniffles decides to deal with the root of the problem once and for all by locking him in a padded cell until he's been weaned off candy.
  • New Job as the Plot Demands: Sniffles is a doctor again and Petunia is a newspaper delivery girl.
  • Ocular Gushers: Nutty cries like this at one point during his withdrawal process when he's forced to go cold turkey on candy.
  • Room Full of Crazy: The padded cell Sniffles throws Nutty in to get him to kick his candy habit for good eventually ends up like this, with scratches all over the walls and floor.
  • Seasonal Baggage: The Seasonal Montage variant is used to show how long Nutty stays inside after getting addicted to video games. It goes from night to day, then to autumn, winter, and spring as his letterbox gets fuller and his lawn gets overgrown.
  • Shout-Out: To several video games:
    • Nutty tossing Cuddles out of his car and stealing it is similar to how cars are stolen in the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
    • Petunia's guts on the windshield resemble Tetris pieces. Nutty even tries to line a piece with the rest.
    • Lifty and Shifty's death end up with their heads resembling Pac-Man and a ghost.
    • Nutty jumps over a barrel with The Mole in it and smashes it with a giant hammer, similar to Donkey Kong.
  • Status Quo Is God: At the end of the episode, Nutty finds a candy cane in Lifty and Shifty's van and eats it. He's back to his candy cravings!
  • Stealth Pun: Nutty killing The Mole is an obvious reference to Donkey Kong, but there's also the fact that he's whacking a mole with a hammer.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Petunia, Lifty, Shifty, and The Mole die.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: Nutty, Sniffles, and Cuddles survive.
  • Trashcan Bonfire: The Mole, who is a hobo in this episode, is shown warming himself in front of one. As is custom for The Mole, though, he's facing away from it. When Nutty crashes his car into Lifty and Shifty's van, the barrel is sent flying, lands over The Mole, and then starts rolling with him in it, allowing Nutty to play some real-life Donkey Kong.
