Bzzt! Amped-Up Summer

Summer comes once again. The crew alongside the members of the Irestill Kingdom make their way to Cyrath Island at the request of the Lowain Bros, who were asked to stand in to serve the local delicacy, eals. Olivia, whose interests are piqued with human cuisine, joins them. At the same time, Feower and Tien of the eternals arrive at the same island with the orphans of Stardust Town. Other crew members arrive too, with their own agenda to attend to.

Unbeknownst to them all, the Mafia has been running the island from the shadows.

Tropes

  • Abhorrent Admirer: Capo Tony to Heles. While his physical appearance isn't actually stated, he's still a disgusting lech who is also only in it for the money.
  • A Day in the Limelight: The event features the Lowain Bros, Olivia, Feower, Tien, Naoise, Heles, Scathacha and Seruel. To a minor extent, we also get to see Yngwie, Rosetta, Ilsa, Yuisis and Ghandagoza.
  • Advertised Extra: Rosetta's and Ilsa's summer versions are heavily advertised in this event even though they're not central to the story. Olivia arguably counts for the same reason, being the event's free obtainable character, though she does appear more often in the event than the former two. Inverted by Yngwie who wasn't advertised at all but makes a very big impact in the story.
  • Badass in Distress: Heles gets herself abducted by the mafia in the later chapters.
  • Beach Episode: Like all summer events, this takes place at the beach.
  • Big Damn Heroes:
    • Olivia, Seruel, Feower and Tien saves the crew when they are forced into a corner by the mafia in Chapter 4.
    • Seofon manages to save the Lyria and the captain, who are stuck in quicksand and is about to be attacked by an electric eal.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: When there aren't any hostages in play, the fight against the mafia are hilariously one-sided.
  • Hostage Situation: Really the only time why the mafia gets an upper hand. In one chapter, the crew is threatened due to the Lowain Bros being incapacitated. In another chapter, Heles gets abducted instead.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: After making bad decisions all throughout, the mafia gets utterly obliterated by the end of the event.
  • Light Is Not Good: The mafia and eals are all light element.
  • Monster of the Week: Electric eals.
  • Mugging the Monster: The local Mafia decide to kidnap Heles for their Capo, dismissing the threat of the likes of the Captain, Tien, Olivia, and Scathacha. Although they barely manage to get the upper hand at points, it ultimately ends exactly as well as you'd expect, with Scathacha's decision to show some mercy being the only reason Capo Tony even survives the event in the end.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: Not in the event itself, but a Grand Blues comic tie-in has butt-monkeys Alec and Albert relieved of charging Grandcypher's batteries thanks to Orchid keeping an electric eal for a pet.
  • Would Hit a Girl: Again, Capo Tony.
