Wanting to get her first kiss from Spencer, Teddy asks him out to the school dance while doubling with Ivy and Emmet. Meanwhile, Gabe tries to get out of doing his homework by making his teacher think his parents argue a lot.
Tropes:
- Gone Horribly Right: Teddy brings her date in order to show up her friend. What ultimately happens is that both boys end up having a good time together, to the point they forget their dates.
- Manipulative Bastard: Gabe utilizes this trope in order to keep from having to do homework, pulling strings with three parties at once. He manipulates his teacher with stories of fighting parents in order to get out of having to do as much work. Likewise, in order to keep up the appearance of coming from such a home, he lies to Bob that Amy is annoyed by his talking about his pest control business, and fibs to Amy that Bob is offended by his perfume.
- Nightmare Fuel Coloring Book: Gabe invokes this by having a drawing of Bob and Amy fighting, all the while he's in the foreground crying.
