Prom Finn and Queen. We are not amused.
As class president, Brittany organizes the senior prom, and decides this year's theme will be dinosaurs. However, some people are reluctant to go. After the announcement of the prom king and queen finalist candidates, some of the misfits plan an anti-prom party. Ultimately, most everyone sees their own dream come true during the prom as Rachel and Finn are nominated Prom Queen and King.

Alternative Character Interpretation: Whether you think Finn is a jerk or not for his treatment of Quinn. Guess what we here think?- Even people who don't like Quinn with a passion and agree with what Finn said generally hold the opinion that he could have been kinder in the way he spoke if for no other reason than because he's such a nice person and it was therefore OOC, and that there was no need to target Joe even if they have no problem with him dragging Quinn out of the wheelchair. Common opinion amongst the Gleeks is that it wasn't as OOC as people thought.
- Dude Looks Like a Lady: Brittany apparently still thinks that Joe is a girl and used him as inspiration for the dinosaur prom because he reminds her of a cavewoman.
- Heartwarming:
- Puck making the crowns for Becky to be Anti-Prom Queen.
- Rory and Joe holding Artie onto the dinosaur.
- Santana helping Quinn stand up.
- Rachel's speech to Quinn, and Quinn and Santana making Rachel Prom Queen.
- Homage: Mike and Tina's pose is the one Jack and Rose did in Titanic. Rachel wearing a pillbox hat and leaning her head back in silhouette is an homage to Barbra Streisand.
- Jerkass Has a Point: While Santana is the queen of the bitchy "The Reason You Suck" Speech, she tells off Rachel for wanting to drag their friends away from their senior prom because she (Rachel) is in a bad mood. Most of the time she's just mean; this time she's mean and right.
- Les Yay:
- Santana and Brittany dancing together as a romantic one.
- Santana and Quinn singing together really closely as a sensual one. Quinn's bedroom eyes at Santana are screaming this, but sadly are never to be seen again, not even a season from now.
- Rachel's delightful speech to Quinn, followed by Santana telling Quinn to "quit making out with Berry".
- No Bisexuals: With some thrown in lesbians in Brittany's explanation of her "exploring [her] fluid teen sexuality".
- Shout-Out/Call-Forward/Call-Back/Foreshadowing: Rachel asking if her being prom queen is a joke (like Kurt elected last year) and if she'll get the Carrie treatment. Kurt asked the same thing last year, and the next year we would see Tina actually getting the Carrie treatment.

Throw It In!: Naya Rivera/Santana wasn't acting during her song with Dianna Agron/Quinn, the first take she actually cried real tears and made the decision to hold onto Quinn and pull her close, which the director (Eric Stoltz, the same one who had her slap Cory in "Mash Off") liked and had her keep. Therefore, Dianna's reaction to this is Enforced Method Acting. - Throwing Off the Disability: A type 2: for story reasons, and with work, Quinn has recovered — miraculously, but still not through magic or other impossible means.
