Chandler and Rachel get addicted to the delicious cheesecakes that keep getting mistakenly delivered to them. Phoebe meets David the Scientist Guy again and is torn between spending time with him before he goes back to Russia and following her dinner plans with Joey. Ross and Monica's cousin Frannie is getting married, but Monica isn't invited, which makes her furious.

- Bros Before Hoes: A mixed-gender version when Phoebe insists that Joey blowing off their lunch to hook up with some girl is a violation of their friendship. This comes back to bite her when David is only in town for one night and she has dinner plans with Joey. He throws her earlier anger back in her face, but ultimately lets it go after realising just how much David meant to her.
- The Bus Came Back: David is back after not being seen since season 1, when he went to Minsk for work.
- Crazy-Prepared: Big Eater Joey apparently keeps a fork on himself at all times in case he finds something yummy, as seen when he finds Rachel and Chandler trying to eat cheesecake off the floor and he joins in.
- Didn't Think This Through: Frannie really has no reason not to tell Monica why she isn't invited. Since they're close-enough family for Ross to be invited, she would find out regardless. Even if the reason for not inviting her to the wedding is because she thinks it would be awkward, simply telling her that would be sufficient.
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: Rachel and Chandler stealing cheesecakes is played off as having to commit multiple cover up murders to cover up their original crime.
- Full-Name Ultimatum: After Joey cancels on her, Phoebe comes to confront him by yelling his full name (Joseph Francis Tribbiani). When Rachel asks what's up Phoebe uses her full name (Rachel Karen Green) even though she's not mad at Rachel.Phoebe: Oh, here's Joseph Francis!
Joey: Oh-Wha-Ho! What are you middle naming me for? - Orgasmically Delicious: Rachel has this type of reaction as she describes the first cheesecake after the second one arrives.
- Uninvited to the Party: Monica is mortally offended when she learns she is not invited to cousin Frannie's wedding. It turns out that the reason for this is that Frannie's fiancee is a guy named Stuart, an ex of Monica's (never seen before this episode).
