The boys find and adopt a mysterious creature called a "rattleskunkupine", but it turns out to be an enemy from Oz's past.

- Big "NO!": Oz screams three of them in his flashbacks, combined with Skyward Scream, when the rattleskunkupine escapes with his food. He screams a fourth in the present when he realizes it escaped.
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall: Oz tells the screen to "cut to flashback".
- Mix-and-Match Critters: The rattleskunkupine is, true to its name, part rattlesnake, part skunk, and part porcupine.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Despite the boys being allowed to keep the rattleskunkupine, it is nowhere to be seen after this episode.
