After a fatal tumble down the stairs, Peter has a talk with God and asks for another chance.
Tropes:
- Disproportionate Retribution: Peter snaps at his family and declares how much he hates them all, just because their burger choices at Fuddruckers weren't very creative.
- God: This episode has him and Peter talking in an elevator.
- Lotus-Eater Machine: God confirms, and the audience is briefly shown, that the universe is a simulation controlled by aliens.
- Pet the Dog: Joe, upon seeing Peter's treatment of the kids, takes a moment to compliment Chris on his choice of burger.
- Snub by Omission: Peter shares some parting words to everyone in his family, with the exception of Brian.Brian: What about me?
Peter: You're a dog. - Take That!:
- When asked by Peter, God confirms that he sends people who say they're spiritual but not religious straight to hell. And even sometimes acts as if he's pulling them out just to make them thing everything will be ok, only to send them back down. Peter takes solace when he hears that.
- One of the aliens running the simulation asks another alien if the other alien wants to trade people. Said alien realizes the other is controlling Eric Trump, who is depicted hunting a cheetah, and quickly changes his mind, saying he'll "stick with this pile of crap I already have."
- Uncomfortable Elevator Moment: Peter spends a good chunk of the episode stuck in an elevator with God.
