Go To

Quagmire, Joe, and Peter head off to Canada to see the wonders of Canadian strip clubs, but the plane crashes and leaves them stranded in the woods for two months. When everyone is rescued, however, Peter becomes feral and his family must help him get acclimated to modern society.

Tropes:

  • Bowdlerization: The following scenes were changed between the TV and the DVD version:
    • Feral Peter humping the TV was shortened on the TV version.
    • The end where Peter, Joe, and Quagmire are at the Canadian strip club and are entertained by a stripper who looks and acts like Mrs. Garrett from The Facts of Life: The Mrs. Garrett stripper has on a thong in the DVD version; the TV version has her wearing a more modest pair of panties.
  • Cargo Ship: Referenced in-universe when Peter (now feral) humps the TV.
Chris: He's doing what we're all thinking.
  • Contrived Coincidence: A wealthy Canadian man with a mansion is revealed to have been behind the guys the whole time ever since the crash and offers them assistance. Unfortunately for Peter, this happens seconds after he leaves to forage in the forest.
  • Crossover: The Cold Open has the Griffins meet the new occupants of Cleveland's house, who happens to be the Smiths. However, Peter mistakes Stan for Joe and Stan ends up shooting Peter when he sees Roger. This turns out to be a dream, but then Hank Hill enters their bedroom. Then Hank wakes up from this dream before the main title pays tribute to the KOTH theme song.
Hank: I always wake up before I can find out if they understand the baby.
  • Fan Disservice: Watching the 80-something Charlotte Rae do a lap dance for Peter, while dressed in skimpy clothes, is not a pretty sight.
  • Flat Joy: Peter regains his civility telling Meg to shut up. The rest of the family are overjoyed, but Meg just gives a half-hearted, "Yay."
  • Phrase Catcher: The Griffins manage to bring Peter back to his senses by having Meg speak to him emotionally. He can't resist responding with "Shut up, Meg."
  • Shout-Out: The entire “Canadian Nudie Bars” song pays homage to the song “The Merry Old Land of Oz” from the 1930s film adaptation of The Wizard of Oz.
