In an attempt to get Kevin to be responsible, Frank takes Kevin to his job at the airport.
Tropes:
- Asian Speekee Engrish: In keeping with the Deliberate Values Dissonance of this show, this trope is shown with a show Frank is watching on TV. An Asian character on there yells that his skin is "bubbring."
- Big "SHUT UP!": Kevin is annoyed at a woman in the airport, who accuses Frank of stealing pills of hers and threatens to report him. Even when he shows up to return them to her, she still badmouths Frank in his face. This causes Kevin to yell "Shut the fuck up!" at her.
- Ear Ache: Susan pulls Bill away by the ear to break up the fight between him and Maureen.
- I Warned You: Bill wastes no time in telling Maureen this after she falls out of a tree and hurts herself, something he told her not to do.
- Off with His Head!: The previous manager of the airline, Ed Murtaugh, was mentioned in the previous episode to have been decapitated by a plane propeller. Here, it's actually shown. Carl and Red show Kevin the security footage of this incident to him, even rewinding it over and over to laugh more. This naturally freaks Kevin out, and he stops hanging out with them.
- Record Needle Scratch: Susan invokes this at the beginning of the episode, when Kevin is listening to music and she interrupts it to admonish him over his bad grades.
- Rhetorical Question Blunder: Kevin makes a point about this when Susan confronts him.Susan: Do you want to tell me what this is?Kevin: What?Susan: This! This failure notice from your school?Kevin: If you're such an expert on what it is, why do you have to ask me?Susan: DON'T START!
