The Easter Episode of the series. The time-traveling Smurfs arrive in Jerusalem around 33 C.E. to witness Jesus Christ's final week before His death, burial, and resurrection.
This story provides examples of:
- Family-Unfriendly Death: Judas Iscariot, who, instead of hanging himself, is chased off a cliff by Puppy and sent falling to his death, being impaled on a tree down below.
- Heel–Face Door-Slam: Judas Iscariot laments that he had betrayed the Messiah and believes that God will never forgive him for doing that.
- It's All My Fault: Papa Smurf still blames himself for leaving Empath behind twice in his life, although he has to be told the second time was not his fault.
- Mistaken for Prostitute: Mary Magdalene tells the Smurfs that she was often mistaken for that.
- Mythology Gag: As a sort of Shout-Out to The Smurfs, Tapper travels around Jerusalem with Smurfette, Brainy, Clumsy, Grouchy, and Duncan (Gutsy) in tow.
- Passion Play: Jesus' last week is a mix of dialogue from The Four Gospels combined into a single narrative, including the things that He said while He was on the cross.
