Twenty-first episode of season 4

The Eds find out that Jimmy and Sarah are hosting a rich club, but the Eds aren't invited. The Eds (mainly Eddy) make several attempts to join.

Tropes:

  • An Aesop:
    • Don't try to fit in with people who don't enjoy your company. You'll only be miserable...unless you're willing to take it like a man and tolerate their traits.
    • If you're not invited to an event, that just means that the people just didn't want you to come.
  • Balloon Belly: Rolf in his persona as a Duke has a large gut and demands equally large portions. He slams it into Edd when offended by the hors d'oeuvre.
  • Bittersweet Ending: The Eds are able to join the rich club, but they end up as servants. Not that Eddy seems to mind.
  • Dumbass Has a Point: Edd suggests the Eds can get into Sarah's "Rich Club" by dressing up like grandparents, because "Grandparents are rich in experience, and have a wealth of knowledge!" Even Ed sees what a ridiculous idea that is.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: A Played for Laughs example, where despite getting rejected from the Rich Club multiple times and then having to be a servant, Eddy learns that being a servant of rich people isn't different from being rich itself since it's a win-win situation...even if he couldn't budge the load because of Rolf's weight exceeding the number of people he was carrying.
Eddy: [Unable to budge the load] "I just figured something out, Double D! Being rich ain't that different from being a two-bit servant! Ain't life grand?"
  • Jerkass Ball: Rolf acts incredibly cruel towards Edd for the food not being to his liking while the latter is a servant.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: Double D tries to get Eddy to admit defeat so they could be spared from Sarah's wrath and the failure of not being admitted to the rich club. Fortunately for the Eds, Jimmy comes up with a compromise idea.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: When trying to take advantage of Ed as a servant, Kevin tries to humiliate him by forcing him to tie his shoe, but ends accidentally getting tied to Ed due to his failure to tie his shoes properly.
  • Moving the Goalposts: After failing many times to join Sarah & Jimmy's rich club the Eds make one last attempt, only for Jimmy to ask for their invitations. To add further insult, Kevin is allowed in the club despite him not being dressed rich. Sarah makes no attempt to hide the fact she thinks the trio are freeloaders and should get lost.
  • Never My Fault: Ed tries to pin the blame of all the bubble wrap getting popped on Edd, when clearly it's Ed's fault because Ed's the one who made Edd bounce onto the bubble wraps. And then when Ed breaks their cardboard boat "S.S. Too Rich", Ed claims "It wasn't me, Eddy!"
  • Pet the Dog: Despite Jimmy previously asking the Eds for their invitations and helping Sarah keep them out, he proposes to Sarah that they could be servants of their rich club, no questions asked. She relents and decides that's a great idea, sparing her brother and his friends from another beatdown.
