A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words:

  • Butt-Monkey: The Doodle Fairy winds up on the receiving end of Ord's antics. First Ord accidentally inhales her and then sneezes her out. Then he blows her away with another sneeze. Finally he nearly drops a piece of paper on her.
  • Instantly Proven Wrong: The group figures out that the Doodle Fairy's drawing is that of a knuckerhole. Ord says that he saw one not far from where they are. Zak, however, insists that he knows all the knuckerholes in Dragon Land and there aren't any anywhere near there. As he's wrapping up saying this, he and Wheezie fall straight into said knuckerhole that isn't anywhere near there.
  • Interrupted Bath: The gang calls fro Zak and Wheezie in their knuckerhole and they emerge, Zak wearing a shower cap and with a scrub brush and Wheezie spraying shampoo on her head. She asks Zak if he doesn't just love to rock and roll in their knuckerhole. He complains that he prefers to soap and scrub safe in his tub.
  • Our Fairies Are Different: Not only are fairies in Dragon Land small and have wings, like most modern depictions, but also antennae.
  • Pepper Sneeze: Done to Ord, twice, only with fairy dust.
  • Swallowed a Fly: Somewhat, Ord sucks a fairy up his nose, and sneezes her back out.
  • The Voiceless: Doodle Fairies don't talk and only communicate by drawing pictures.
  • Victimized Bystander: As mentioned in "Butt Monkey", the Doodle Fairy is subjected to a fair amount of indignities when she's minding her own business.

The Talent Pool:

  • An Aesop: Sometimes, you don't need a special talent to prove you're worthwhile. Being you is the best talent you can have.
    • Building on that, being empathic is a gift more special than being talented. As demonstrated, it allowed Cassie to see the Talent Pool's loneliness past her sour and miserable personality.
  • Genius Loci: The titular Talent Pool is a sentient pond.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: The Talent Pool reveals that the reason she hasn't laughed in a long time is because, for all of her ability to grant talent to others, she's never had a friend to call her own. Cassie, nice dragon she is, fixes this by becoming the Talent Pool's friend.
  • Sour Outside, Sad Inside: The titular Talent Pool may seem like a sour puss who is incapable of laughter, but there is pain behind her grumpiness. As Cassie learns, the reason she hasn't laughed in a while is because she wants a friend.

Not Anywhere Near Here

In "A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words" from "Dragon Tales," when the group finally figures out that the doodle fairy is trying to direct them to a knuckerhole, Zak declares that he knows all the knuckerholes in the area and there aren't any near there, only for him and Wheezie to fall straight into the knuckerhole in question. Bonus points for them doing so as he's wrapping up saying this.

How well does it match the trope?
