The first event with many to follow.
Event Dates: October 2018, May 2020
Event Type: Raid
Element: Fire
Friendship Character: Celliera
Welfare Dragon: Pele

Euden's party fights tooth and nail against a horde of fiends within a cavern, but there appears to be no end to them. As they begin to be cornered, somebody shows up to give them aid. After taking out the remaining fiends, the person introduces herself as Celliera while also revealing herself to be an armsmaster who came to the area to set up a training camp for her student before they ran away from an extremely big fiend.

Euden agrees to help her take down the fiend, and Celliera returns the favor by offering the entire party some intense training. Euden doesn't see any reason to decline her offer on account of it potentially making them stronger.

During the training, Euden hears a voice cry for help. Euden dismisses it as just hearing things due to nobody else hearing it. After some time though, the others start hearing it as well and realize it is coming from the cavern. Despite Celliera's protests, the party goes toward the direction of the voice.

They soon find a dragon being attacked by fiends. After taking them out effortlessly, Cleo tends to the dragon's wounds. The dragon then introduces herself as Pele, and she tells how she served a king named Archeole. This gets Celliera to realize that Pele is the dragon that defended Alba.

Upon which, Pele reveals that the kingdom she protected had been destroyed by a massive fiend named Phraeganoth and that she and Archeole had fought the fiend to avenge their people. When the fiend proved to powerful, she and the king sealed the fiend and themselves.

However, the seal has been broken, and Phraeganoth's essence known as black mana is seeping out of it. A one-eyed fiend has also emerged from the seal with the intention of breaking it completely to allow Phraeganoth to escape.

This event contains examples of:

  • The Corruption: This is where black mana is first introduced. It is established to be capable of attracting fiends and disrupting mana flow in high dosage. It is also the reason King Archeole becomes a fiend himself.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: During the first run of the event, each run on King Archeole had to go through the full stage first before he could be fought. The rerun instead just goes straight to the boss after years of improvements to gameplay.
  • Training from Hell: Even when going through a volcano full of fiends, Celliera puts the party through a harsh training regimen that not only involves running up a harsh incline, but then threatens to have them do burpees up to the summit.
