After getting Nedrick's message from Elisanne, Euden and the crew decide to head for the northern Grastaea border as instructed with the hopes of rescuing Zethia. Upon arriving, the crew ponder about Nedrick's identity along with whether he has any connection to Agito or is a different threat.

As they scale the mountain, Luca notices a fiend approach Zena from behind. Before Euden can jump in to save her, Zena dispatches of the fiend herself. However, Euden still feels the need to point out how seeing Zena in danger reminded him of how he would often have to protect Zethia, which Zena understands. As they bond though, Ciella arrives to break the conversation and call their friendship nothing more than a lie.

Although the crew put up a fight, Ciella overwhelms and exhausts them. However, Ciella decides to retreat due to wanting to see the crew's cheerfulness shatter. As she escapes, Euden directs the crew to bring attention back to finding Zethia.

Upon reaching the checkpoint, Euden notices a figure approaching them who turns out to be Valyx. Just as Euden questions why he is here, Valyx attempts to strike the prince, who swiftly dodges. Shocked at how out of character such a move was, Euden demands to know what is going on. Upon which, Valyx declares a final battle between the two of them after acknowledging how Euden already bested Leonidas and Chelle, telling him that the victor is the true king as a mask suddenly appears on Valyx's face as the Agito reveal themselves.

As Euden begins to demand what they did to his brother, Nedrick reveals himself to the party while also revealing Zethia to them. Upon which, Nedrick berates Euden on having no ambition. He then has Ciella provide the documents revealing to Euden and the rest of the party the truth, much to Elisanne's horror.

Nedrick reveals to the party that he is the true seventh scion whom Euden had replaced as the party is distraught with the truth. Euden is especially horrified by the news. While most of the party attempts to reassure Euden that it is a lie, Nedrick reveals that the gem the book only reacts to being touched by those of royal bloodline, and that being such is what proves him. With them continuing to doubt, Nedrick demands Zethia to touch the gem, which she begrudgingly does. After Zethia, Nedrick then tells Euden to touch the gem. Upon doing so, the gem shows no signs of glowing.

With this reveal, Euden starts questioning his identity. As Nedrick feels no need to continue talking with Euden, he prepares to take Zethia to northern Grastaea. However, Euden refuses to give up on saving her, despite the truth. Nedrick proves too much for him though on account of Euden being blinded by anger. Even shapeshifting proves fruitless against the true seventh scion.

Just as the rest of the party prepares to jump in and help, all of the Agito get in the way so as to keep the fight between the two of them.

Just as Nedrick prepares to finish Euden off, Valyx jumps in the way and blocks the strike while freeing himself from the mask's control. When Nedrick proves too much for even him, Valyx tells Euden to run. However, Euden refuses to leave either him or Zethia behind. His body proved to be too injured for him to move though. With everybody in danger, Zena prepares to warp everybody to safety, knowing such an act will likely kill her. Just as she has enough mana to do so, Ciella stops her.

Just as Zena starts to fade away once more, Zethia offers her power again. With their combined power, Zena prepares to warp everybody away. Nedrick, however, threatens to kill everybody should Zethia escape with them, prompting her to stay behind. While Euden demands to stay behind as well, Zethia tells Zena to take him and stay by his side. Understanding alternate self's decision, Zena agrees as she warps the party away as Zethia stays behind once again, wishing them safety.

Back at the Halidom, Euden angrily declares that he will go back to fight Nedrick. The rest of the party refuses to accept such recklessness on account of how easily they were beaten. Despite his insitence, Zena speaks out and tells him not to let Zethia's choice and sacrifice be in vain. Realizing he had been needlessly taking his anger out on the party, Euden heads to his quarters.

The next day, Zena and Euden make amends. While Zena regrets leaving Zethia behind, Euden has comes to terms and admits she made the right choice despite how much it hurts. Adding to the fact that he isn't of royal bloodline like he thought, Euden questions if he is truly the leader everybody needs. Zena assures him that he is still her brother, regardless of the bloodline. She even lays it down hard that like in her timeline, he has just as many weaknesses. despite that, his heart is what ensures that he really is her brother and encourages him to figure out the new him.

Feeling better, Euden reconciles with everybody. Afterward, he heads to speak to Leonidas about Agito, the Ilian Church, and who he actually is. After revealing this plan, Euden asks the party if they will still follow him, which they assure him that they will always have his back.
